GLENDA SMITH MEMORIAL AWARD

A new Award established in 2009 to celebrate outstanding excellence in school canteen and community.
The Award is in memory of Mrs Glenda Smith, a legendary canteen manager from Yarrawonga Primary School, who passed away on 5 October 2009 at the age of 57. Glenda was a multiple prize winner over several years of the VSCA Canteen of the Year awards. She went to extraordinary lengths to introduce and promote healthy eating in her school's canteen. Over many years of service as a mother of 6 children, school councillor, parents' club president, canteen volunteer, child care worker and canteen manager, Glenda certainly lived Yarrawonga Primary School's motto of "Strive and Achieve Together".
