"I would like to nominate Isabell Ippolitto, our Canteen
Manager, for the Canteen Manager award. She has worked tirelessly
these past few years keeping our Canteen to the standard that
we had begun years ago.
Initially we began with selling all the unhealthy food that
a school canteen would normally have - fizzy drinks, hot chips
etc. Since then we have evolved into selling vegetarian food
and fruit drinks. With the changeover, she has initiated several
new vegetarian recipes that she introduces to our school canteen
users. These are usually enthusiastically utilised by our
students and staff. Keeping it simple, fresh and healthy is
what we provide.
Isabell has given a lot of her time in keeping our staff
and students well fed through the food that she sells at the
canteen. Not only that, she also assists in catering for on-campus
functions such as information nights, teachers day etc. To
cater to different seasons and foods available, she has alternated
our canteen menu each term. In doing that, the students still
have a variety of fruits and vegetables for healthy lunches
and snacks during the summer and winter months.
We get occasional volunteers from the parent community and
sometimes when we don't, Isabell and her assistant Marija
Rajkov soldier on and even though they're stretched to the
limits work wise, they still manage to give everyone they
serve a friendly smile."
