"Maureen started in February 2007.
The canteen had been running at a significant loss. $36,000
loss posted for 2006. 2007 we will break even. That is an
incredible feat.
Maureen has transformed the canteen in the time she has been
there. The place is pristine. The fare is simple but varied.
Her savings have been made in sensible buying, tighter controls
on who accesses the canteen, less waste.
She works by herself everyday - we have no volunteers. Mondays
& Wednesdays she has to open until 3.45 pm."
